Paris – IRI

IRI:

When we were in Paris, we got the opportunity to meet with Vincent Puig who works for the Institute for Research and Innovation. Vincent started off by saying that IRI is working directly between culture and science, which was an important concept to think about as he continued to explain more about IRI. Vincent showed us a program that was in the works called ‘Lignes de Temps.’ This program translates music into songs and can write movies. It is very popular and successful in the classroom, but is mainly used for movies and cinemas.
We didn’t get to speak with Vincent for long about his work with IRI, but on the official company website it goes into depth about the projects he was explaining to us. I would recommend to anyone interested in music and sound to look into IRI and what they do over in Paris. They’re very advanced in development and it could be a real eye opener to those interested in the field.
