MICHAEL JOYCE – HYPERTEXT

Michael Joyce was one of the most down to earth, yet most prestigious and successful men that I have met. We had a great conversation with Michael about his past endeavors in creating Hypertext. Michael told us that when he started thinking of the concept, people could not fathom why anyone would want hypertext or servers like google at the time. Those thoughts didn’t discourage Michael from continuing what he was passionate about. He knew that once her perfected and executed his idea, people would see how much more simple computers could be. It seems that nowadays consumers don’t understand what went into developing the internet, it really has come a long way since creation. Users are unaware of the work that it takes in order for them to browse their favorite websites. Michael has a slight fear of where our technology based lifestyle is going to take us, but he still remains hopeful. He is now working on a new project working with panoramas that is currently being developed and he is also writing a book. I wish that more people knew about the process he went through and how much he impacted our lives by developing hypertext. Michael Joyce is truly a legend and I am so honored that we got to meet with him and hear what he had to say!
